Brokers' finances comparison for May-June 2009

win_lose_diceEach month the CFTC issues a report with the financial data for Futures Commission Merchants (FCM). Each month I’m tracking the change in net capital of the reporting brokers, as well as who the surviving brokers are.

Last month most of the brokers gained (probably due to the increase in net capital requirements). This month FX Solutions leads with the biggest increase in net capital while PFG and CMS experienced the biggest decrease.

Important to note is that the results reflect US subsidiaries capital only. In case of brokers with multiple subsidiaries like FXCM and Alpari the numbers are significantly higher.

FXDD is not on the list because it still awaits the regulatory approval (and we know how effective the NFA is…).
